It's been bitter cold in Santa Fe this week--the mercury dropped to an unheard-of twenty below zero!  At that temperature, my big trip hammer won't hit--the grease is frozen solid.   There's not much to do in the shop except huddle by the woodstove--our only source of heat when the forges aren't going.  So I bailed.  I headed out to snap some pix of work that got away--pieces I didn't photograph when I installed them.  It was good to see them again, note how they'd weathered, re-evaluate the strength of the designs.  In a couple of cases, I wondered if the people who commissioned the works were still the owners.
